LOCAL CLIMATE ACADEMY
The Local Climate Academy is a free, 6 week, online course that will equip you with the knowledge, tools and skills to support your council to tackle the climate and ecological crisis. We cover in detail how councils work and what influence they can have in tackling the climate emergency. We regularly run this course, with each course tailored for a different audience such as early career councillors, newer council officers or campaigners.

LOCAL CLIMATE POLICY PROGRAMME
Want to learn more about what councils are doing to combat the climate and ecological crises? Want to help communities to get their council to take Climate Action seriously? Interested in gaining experience of local policy, initiatives and best practice?
SCORECARD ASSESSOR
This type of volunteering is for those will be marking councils climate action but cannot commit to the Policy Programme. You will still assess councils but at your own pace. Ideally, the Assessor position would complete 20 hours of volunteering over a 4-week period.
FOI PROGRAMME
We need at least 200 volunteers to pull this project off! We are sending councils a small number of FOI requests in order to answer some of the Scorecard questions. We have already written the FOI requests, and we need volunteers to manage the FOI request responses from all 400 councils and input their answers into our Scorecard

ORGANISATIONS
We would like to partner with other organisations to better support residents and councils to deliver effective climate action as well as to work in partnership with others to advocate at a national level for further powers, funding and guidance for local government on climate action.
