Summary: This project saw volunteers of Rimrose Valley Friends and members of the public come together and recreate the Blur classic to highlight our Save Rimrose Valley campaign.

Details: Another creative project which was a labour of love. Members of our volunteer group re-recorded Blur’s 1994 hit Parklife to highlight our ongoing Save Rimrose Valley campaign. The cover version features rewritten lyrics, performances by local school children and an accompanying video filmed on the park. The project was the idea of our volunteer, Kate Elder, who once married a tree on the park itself so show her opposition to the road proposal. Honestly! Kate also performs the spoken sections of the track, made famous by Phil Daniels. We had a lot of fun making this video, which engaged the community in a positive, creative project.
