Summary: A community engagement event to draw attention to our Save Rimrose Valley campaign and to grow public support

Details: This project took months of planning and attracted a huge turnout. Joined by environmental groups and inviting local politicians of all parties, we gathered people on Rimrose Valley and formed a heart to show our love for the park. Participants then spread out along the central path through the park, linking hands in a show of defiance against the government’s road proposal. This is the first time we’d attempted anything on this scale and it confirmed to us how precious the park was to our communities.
