Summary: This project brought children and families together to participate in lantern-making workshops, take part in a lantern parade and to deliver a dramatic performance.

Details: We were approached by local artist, Gail Skelly, who worked for Ordsall Community Arts who produce celebratory art with communities. Gail had heard about our work and wanted to get involved. Together, we delivered lantern-making workshops, a parade and a dramatic performance to highlight the threat to Rimrose Valley. The workshops were lots of fun and a lot of planning went into the evening… before a TORRENTIAL downpour on the big night 🙁 Lanterns dissolved, attendees were soaked through, but it didn’t dampen people’s spirits!
